The team at City Engineering have made a few updates to our BTU calculation tool.
Based on the success of this tool and customer feedback we have now included links to each type of air conditioning system with estimated pricing ranges for supply and installation (note this is now a securer site and has been optimised for Chome and Firefox browsers).
These additions will help customers and clients estimate cost for projects they are planning before getting formal quotation and further advice. Allowing them to confidently plan and cost up small to large projects.

Great work by the City Engineering air conditioning installer teams, working with the interior designer and meeting the client's needs to complete the work on time and on budget.
Our brief was to integrate cooling and heating systems into the apartment of a private customer, in Eaton square, while ensuring the systems and pipe-work have minimal impact on the aesthetics of each room.
The solution was to supply and install a ducted system to be housed behind a false wall and allow a flat screen television to also be accommodated into the wall. In addition, supply and install floor standing systems that could be housed neatly in vented box. All ensuring ...

The running cost for a modern 7KW split air condition system is around 13p/hour. Therefore, a computer room running 24 hrs, 7 days for 52 weeks a year this comes to more £1,100 per year in running costs.
Based on data from carbon trust. By not servicing this system, energy consumption of an air conditioning system can increase by 60%, you would be paying £660 per year extra in running cost; this is more than four times the price of our annual maintenance contract. In many cases, with longer plans and multiple units, this can be up to six times the cost our ...

Guide to comparing air conditioning installation quotations
Comparing air con installation quotations or any service is essential to make an informed and balanced decision over the market value, what you can afford, and what meets your requirements.

The main reason for variable prices between air condition quotations is due to the capacity of the equipment being supplied. In general, the higher the capacity rating the higher the cooling output (greater temperature control) and the more the system costs. It is therefore vitally important to compare the Btu or KW rating of each quotation. It is can be false economy and a costly mistake to install an air conditioning system ...

The team at City Engineering Ltd are proud to announce the launch of our customer BTU calculation tool. Customers will be able to determine the size of air condition system they require based on room measurements and room type alone. The more details provided the more accurate the BTU can be estimate.
There are many factors that affect this calculation including the outdoor temperature, thickness of exterior walls and the quality of insulation installed, and the heat output of electrical equipment in the room. However, a rough estimate can be obtained to make a reasonable judgement of the size of system you require. Therefore this BTU calculator ...
